internal ConflictIn 2011 after a long time under President Mubarak's reign many people in Tahrir Square in the capital city of Cairo, as well as in other places around the country, rioting for a better government, eventually getting one in February when President Mubarak resigned.
On June 30 2011, mass demonstrations against President Morsi began, which ultimately led to his removal as president in the first week of July. Protests continued throughout the month, with some clashes between different groups turning violent. |
